GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — ACL tears are one of the most common surgeries for an Orthopedic Surgeon to repair. A new approach, called the “bear” implant, will change the future of ACL surgeries and has been performed for the first time in Greenville.

It's a long road ahead but Micah Parsons has taken the first step in returning to the gridiron. The All-Pro edge rusher announced on Monday night that he had a successful surgery to his ACL after tearing it during Week 14 of the regular season. "Today went amazing!!! LFG!!" Parsons wrote on social media.

Green Bay Packers star edge rusher Micah Parsons underwent surgery Dec. 29 to repair the torn ACL he suffered in a game earlier this month. And based on his response, the surgery was a success. At 10:37 p.m., Parsons took to X, writing “Today went amazing!!”
