​It seems the momentum behind the " survival game with guns" hasn't slowed down, and now the world is finally ready for Palworld to become a major franchise in the gaming industry – despite the fact that the game is still locked in a legal battle with Nintendo over its similarities to Pokémon.

Palworld is officially making the jump into physical tabletop games. During the Bushiroad New Year Grand Presentation 2026 on 12 January, Bushiroad confirmed the release date for Palworld Official Card Game, a new trading card game currently in development by Pocketpair. The game is scheduled to launch worldwide on 30 July, 2026.

Palworld designer and Pocketpair Publishing manager John 'Bucky' Buckley agrees that folks might be overreacting slightly to the newly announced Palworld Official Card Game amid the expected Pokemon comparisons and criticisms.
