Snowfall continues across the southern half of the area through this evening as Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings remain in place. Additional snowfall totals will be greatest closer to the VA/NC border with lower totals to the north.

Snow and ice-covered roads may improve more on Tuesday as temperatures warm. Midweek rain chances may also include a mix of snow showers for some areas of the Mountains and Foothills, but mainly rain is expected in the Piedmont Triad.
