One 16-year-old girl was killed and another was injured after the sled they were both riding on collided with a tree.
A 16-year-old-girl is dead and another is critically injured after a sledding accident in Frisco, Texas. Police received a call around 2:30 p.m. Sunday from an uninvolved party reporting the incident that happened in the area of Majestic Gardens Drive and Killian Court.
A teenager in Benton was killed while riding a sled being pulled by a vehicle down the street, KATV, the ABC affiliate in Little Rock, reports.
Metro Atlanta and north Georgia was under an Ice Storm Warning-- the first such warning since Feb. 2014. Gov. Brian Kemp and local leaders have been telling Georgians to heed the messages to stay off of the roads.
Police urge residents to use caution during winter weather conditions, noting that snow and ice can create hazardous outdoor conditions.
