Two protesters allegedly assaulted federal officers during anti-ICE demonstrations in Minnesota, leading to their arrests as clashes between protesters and officers continue.

A 36-year-old man who was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Minneapolis died while under the custody of federal law enforcement in Texas on Wednesday, according to the agency.

A man from Nicaragua arrested by federal agents in Minneapolis on Jan. 6 died while in ICE custody in El Paso, Texas on Jan. 14. Federal officials say his death is a presumed suicide.

According to ICE, its "contract security" found Diaz unresponsive in his room and he was pronounced dead on Jan 14.

Newly obtained videos of the moments right after the Wednesday incident in which an Immigration and Custom Enforcement agent shot a Venezuelan man in the leg for allegedly assaulting an officer in Minneapolis appear to contradict at least some of ICE’s claims about events leading up to the shooting.

Quickly approaching two weeks since a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent fatally shot 37-year-old Renee Good in Minneapolis, it appears to be a formality that the U.S. Department of Justice will not investigate the incident.

The Minnesota National Guard has been mobilized, but not deployed. Tensions continued early on Thursday in Minneapolis, as protesters clashed in the streets with law enforcement, following the second shooting there in about a week involving a federal officer.
