When a horse goes against the hand, the problem is rarely in the reins.🤔 Resistance in the contact usually means the body isn’t through yet. The back isn’t swinging, the energy from behind can’t travel forward, and the horse has nowhere to go but against your hand. Trying to fix this by holding more, shortening the reins, or “setting” the frame only creates more tension.
