The Simca Vedette, produced from 1954 to 1961, was a French automobile known for its V8 engine and its role as a prestigious post-war car. It was initially produced at the Simca plant in Poissy, France, featuring a 2351 cc V8 engine producing 84 hp and a three-speed column-shift transmission. The Vedette's production in France ended in 1961, but it continued in Brazil as the Simca Esplanada and Jangada (station wagon) until 1969, and was also assembled in Australia by Chrysler from 1958 to 1962.
