Here John is adding the final 12 1/2 pounds of KAOLIN to the batch. The slip is pretty thick by now so the kaolin doesn’t go in easily and it takes a bit of time to make sure everything is mixed up pretty well. At the end, all the clay and materials are in the batch of porcelain. All that needs to be done is for the slip to be screened, and Epsom salts added. Epsom salts will tend to thicken the batch of Porcelain so we don’t want to add it until after the sieving. . . . To be notified of future
